Why so much money? They start at $60k brand new. Here’s one that wants $69k used.

“Well you know, the moment you drive it off the lot, it.... gains 10% of it’s value?”

Folks, folks, folks - it’s special but it’s not THAT special. They’re going to make a Jeep version for gosh sakes.

If you feel any better used hellcats are selling for 75k-80k in Canada.

I imagine dealer markups mean you can’t buy them for RRP just anywhere.

What I’m still trying to figure out is whether the hellcats should be APPRECIATING or DEPRECIATING off the bat, my best guess at the moment is that they will by like some of the recent porsches. They will depreciate initially, then in ten or fifteen years they will appreciate to crazy amounts after people remember this car.

Depreciating. There’s no way 707hp isn’t just melting those things from the inside out. Not to mention that rubber embedded in the paint is a PITA to get out for the second owner.

I think these things are the Plymouth Roadrunner of the future.

No American car will ever appreciate the same way the 2005 - 2006 Ford GT did. And this car will definitely not appreciate. Not for at least 50-75 years.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Have you priced a used Jeep lately? If they put the Hellcat in a Wrangler they would probably go for $80k used in ten years with 180k on them and a leaky soft top.

There is one with a 666 in the VIN that costs even more.

While there's a batch of Hellcats currently being built and shipped, a Sublime Challenger would be one to appreciate. They don't offer Sublime for 2016, so it's more likely to be one of the more rare Hellcats. Still over priced, but also not likely to lose much value.

do you know how much roadrunners go for now a days? They are pricey.

Yep, but they weren’t always that way.

You have to come back to iGP if it doesn't. LOL

That one’s starting so much higher that it likely won’t appreciate as much, either as a percentage or in gross dollars.

Nah, Roadrunners were cheap, these aren’t. The Scat Paks are closer to what the Roadrunners were, these are like the Hemi cars.

Dealer markups, new Hellcats are not sold for anything close to MSRP. Dodge went back to allowing dealers to markup performance cars to an absurd degree a few years ago.
